Koli The Kid

Hailing from Mthatha,EC, Koli the Kid started his rap career in 2004 mainly writing poetry and was soon drawn into the hiphop world.

After a visit to Mthatha's legendary hiphop crew(The Base Mob) studios, where he met CASH(Founder of the Base Mob and radio DJ at UCR - FM with his show, The Basement), Koli realised that he had a talent worth pirsuing.

Koli moved to Johannesburg to study IT in 2004 and was immediately scooped up and signed his first record deal with BRAZ Entertainment, which also housed artists such as L.I, Camagu, MXO, Top Shayela,Litha and others. He released an EP titled "Journey Through my Mind" which featured production by Apes, Top Shayela, Cash, Igho and Jazzworx.

In 2005, CASH moved up to Johannesburg to complete a Sound Engineering course and once again hooked up with the Kid.

After Koli had opted out of his contract and became a free agent, he teamed up with CASH and Young Zooloo, to form the infamous MONOPOLY, which exploded into the scene in 2007.

Known for his brawling, lyrical skill, giant killing diss lines and all out EC mentality, it was nothing for the Kid to fit in with the entire Crackboys team of hustlers.

Koli is also known as "The Kid Sensational" and has had radio success on YFM,Swaziland and Metro FM charts with songs like "Journal of Emotion, The M.O.N.O.P.O.L.Y, and Violent Change.
